Guilhoto becomes the new coach of Team Liquid
Team Liquid has officially announced the appointment of Guilhoto as the head coach of the League of Legends team. Previously, the 27-year-old Portuguese specialist led the Immortals team.
Guilhoto has extensive experience in coaching a variety of teams from both Europe and North America. The Portuguese began his journey on the coaching bridge in the Giants Gaming team, which he led to victories in EU CS Summer 2017 and LVP SuperLiga Orange Season 13. The next season, the specialist headed FC Schalke 04 Esports, with which he took second place at EU LCS Summer 2018 and EU LCS Regional Finals 2018.
In 2019, the 27-year-old Portuguese moved to the Origen team, where in two years he managed to win Rift Rivals 2019: NA vs EU, as well as get into the TOP-4 within the LEC Regional Finals 2019 and LEC Spring 2020. His last season Guilhoto spent in North America leading Immortals. However, the team did not manage to reach significant heights, being noted for getting into the TOP-6 at LCS Summer 2021.
Recall that after a disastrous performance in the 2021 World Championship, Team Liquid decided to revise its roster. In particular, Alphari and Tactical left the team.
The current roster of Team Liquid is as follows:
- Santorin.
- CoreJJ.
- Jensen.
- Guilhoto (head coach).
