Karmine Corp signed by Rekkles
Best known for his performances under the Fnatic and G2 Esports tag, Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson will partner with Karmine Corp. The latter began to reassemble their League of Legends roster. The announcement of the arrival of Rekkles in the ranks of the organization took place on Twitter and various media. Yesterday they announced the departure of three esports players: Jakub 'Cinkrof' Rokiki, Matthew 'xMatty' Coombs and Raphael 'Targamas' Krabbe. Only Lucas 'Cabochard' Simon Meslet and Lucas 'Saken' Fajard remained on the roster from the old model. They will now play alongside Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson.
Who else will join the updated version of Karmine Corp's League of Legends roster is currently unknown. The arrival of two cybersportsmen will be announced later.
The arrival of Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson into the ranks of the French club is a significant event, since the Swede is one of, perhaps, the most famous esportsmen both in the European division and beyond. His best career period was 2014-2018. Then he played for Fnatic and achieved considerable success. Together with his teammates, Larsson has won championships such as EU LCS Spring 2014, EU LCS Summer 2015, EU LCS Spring 2018 and EU LCS Summer 2018. In addition, he has also competed in the League of Legends World Championship three times. In 2015, he reached 3-4 lines, for which he received $ 150,000, then entered the top 8 at the 2017 World Championship, for which he earned $ 183,864 with the team. The quintessence and culmination of his career was the runner-up at the 2018 World Championship, where Fnatic were defeated in an unequal fight against Invictus Gaming. Then Fnatic earned $ 870,750 and achieved another pleasant result - they beat their principal rivals G2 Esports in the semifinals. It was to them that Rekkles went in November 2020 to continue his career. The transfer was sensational, the results were not. Martin Larsson took 3rd place at LEC Spring 2021 and completed his journey to LEC Summer 2021, which stopped him one step away from participating in the 2021 World Championship.
