Team Falcated are champions of iBUYPOWER Anime Expo 2022
Another Halo Championship has come to an end. It was won by Team Falcated. The event was held as part of the ongoing computer exhibition iBUYPOWER Anime Expo 2022. Team Falcated included veteran titans of this eSports discipline, Bradley 'Frosty' Bergstrom, Jonathan 'Renegade' Willett, Joey 'TriPPPPeY' Taylor and, of course, team captain Michael 'Falcated' Garcia. It is noteworthy that although the latter does not have such an impressive experience in playing Halo as his teammates, he managed at the highest level, which helped the team win the tournament.
Why are we focusing so much on the experience of the esports players who won this Halo tournament? Because not everyone manages to exceed the bar of $100,000 in prize money earned in major disciplines such as Dota 2, CS:GO, League of Legends, not to mention Halo. TriPPPeY, Renegade and Frosty have been incredibly successful and have surpassed $107,000, $300,000 and $640,000 in prize money! Michael 'Falcated' Garcia, who brought together players to win the event, in turn earned over $46,000. Now Falcated, Frosty, Renegade and TriPPPeY represent such clubs as FaZe Clan, Sentinels, Cloud9 and OpTic Gaming in the international arena, respectively.
As part of the past iBUYPOWER Anime Expo 2022, the teams outperformed such opponents as Team Swish, Team Druk, Team Perzecute, Team Flurriously, Team Flamesword, Team Elamite and Team BubuDubu. There is no information about how the prize pool was divided, however, we assume that the winning team took half of the prize money, namely $5,000.
