Sentinels set to sign Cloud9's Renegade
According to Dexerto, North American esports Sentinels are gearing up to make changes to their Halo roster by signing Cloud9's Renegade. The club intends to replace LethuL, despite all the recent achievements of the 28-year-old American.
Renegade made a name for himself as part of Cloud9, which he has been playing for since the end of 2020. Together with the team, the 21-year-old American became the winner of the Team Envy 2v2 Invitational, Halo 5 SEND OFF, Halo Championship Series 2021: Kickoff Major and Halo Championship Series 2022: North America Regionals, and also took second place in Halo 5 Pro Series Season 1: NA - Championship, FaZe Halo Invitational and Halo Championship Series 2022: Kansas City Major.
The top candidate to leave the Sentinels is LethuL, who has been representing the club's colors since 2020. Together with the team, the 28-year-old American e-sportsman has achieved considerable success, winning Esports Arena: Series E - Invitational, HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 5 and Halo Championship Series 2022: Kansas City Major, as well as getting into the top three at DreamHack Halo Series 2020: Anaheim, HCS 2021-22 North America Pro Series 4 and FaZe Halo Invitational.
Sources say that the Sentinels are working hard to reach an agreement to buy Renegade from Cloud9 in order to strengthen the team for the next major. In turn, Cloud9 is considering signing Bound from FaZe Clan.
A possible Halo Sentinels roster is as follows:
- SnakeBite.
- Royal2.
- Frosty.
- Renegade.
