Cloud9 Disbands Halo Roster
North American esports organization Cloud9 has announced it is parting ways with its Halo roster. It is noteworthy that this is not the first partner team that was left without an active roster after the end of the season. At the same time, Cloud9 did not comment on its future in the discipline.
Numerous trophies, years of dedication and memories we will never forget. Thank you for everything you have done for the Cloud9 family.
The Cloud9 organization formed its latest roster back in October 2020. In two seasons, the North American team became the winner of Halo 5 SEND OFF, Halo Championship Series 2021: Kickoff Major, HCS 2021-22 North America Pro Series 4 and Halo Championship Series 2022: North America Regionals, and also reached the finals at Halo 5 Pro Series Season 1: NA - Championship, FaZe Halo Invitational, Halo Championship Series 2022: Kansas City Major, Halo Championship Series 2022: Orlando Major and Halo World Championship 2022.
Cloud9 becomes the latest partner organization to drop its roster, after Fnatic, eUnited and Spacestation Gaming issued similar announcements earlier this month. While Spacestation Gaming has reassured fans of its intention to stay disciplined, Fnatic's future is in limbo. In addition, eUnited and Cloud9 did not provide any further details regarding their plans for Halo.
