FaZe Clan unveils new Halo roster by signing former Sentinels players
North American esports organization FaZe Clan has unveiled a new Halo roster. The club made an interesting exchange with the Sentinels, having redeemed the former squad of a competitor. In turn, some of the FaZe Clan players went in the opposite direction.
First of all, the organization said goodbye to the previous roster and coaching staff, which was significantly updated last summer. Together, the North American team took third place at the eUnited Grunt Classic and Halo Championship Series 2022: Orlando Major, and also made it to the TOP-4 at the end of Halo World Championship 2022.
The only exception was Renegade, who stayed with FaZe Clan to participate in the second season. The 22-year-old American was signed from Cloud9 back in July, and his continued collaboration with the club looks quite logical.
At the same time, the club announced the signing of SnakeBite, Royal2 and Frosty from the Sentinels team, as well as their coach Royal1. Last season, the team became the champions of HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 5 and Halo Championship Series 2022: Kansas City Major, and also made it to the top three at HCS 2021-22 North America Pro Series 4, FaZe Halo Invitational, Halo Championship Series 2022: North America Super and eUnited Grunt Classic.
Note that the organization is among the partners of the Halo Championship Series. However, the scene is currently not going through the best of times, as teams such as Fnatic, Cloud9, eUnited and G2 Esports left the discipline at the end of last year.
With the updated roster, FaZe Clan managed to debut in the Spartan Snowdown, scoring three wins in the group stage and making it to the playoffs with the top seed. Now the team will try to build on their initial success by meeting Proton Gaming in the quarterfinals.
Updated FaZe Clan Halo roster:
- Renegade
- Frosty
- Royal2
- snakebite
- Royal1 (head coach)
