NVIDIA will help Unreal Engine 4 games improve performance
NVIDIA has released a new plugin for the Unreal Engine 4, as announced on their Twitter account. It allows all game developers on this engine to add support for DLSS anti-aliasing technology to their projects and greatly simplifies this process.
DLSS uses a machine learning algorithm and thus does anti-aliasing in games. Thanks to this technology, aliasing in the game is eliminated without additional load on the system, which has a positive impact on the rate of frames per second.
Not so long ago, we talked about how AMD can add support for FidelityFX Super Resolution to drivers for their video cards. It is very similar to NVIDIA's DLSS, but unlike its competitors' technology, FidelityFX Super Resolution will be cross-platform. This means that any manufacturer of video cards, including NVIDIA, can use it.
