Ada Wong Might Appear in a Story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem
Last week, Capcom officially confirmed Resident Evil Requiem will receive a story expansion soon. Although the game’s director, Koshi Nakanishi, hasn’t revealed the release date for the new DLC, as it's still in development and will “take some time” before it's ready, there have been speculations Leon S. Kennedy, one of the two protagonists from Requiem, will be the lead character in the new add-on for the game.
It was initially rumored that Alyssa Ashcroft, the mother of Grace, the second protagonist in Resident Evil Requiem, would be the main character in the DLC; however, Capcom has seemingly abandoned the idea. The decision to make Leon a main character in a DLC for Resident Evil Requiem is logical considering the ending of the original game; it also may bring the cut content (or some part of it) revealed by insider Dusk Golem —the second section of Raccoon City, where the players were able to drive, and the mansion from the original Resident Evil title. Plus, some other familiar faces related to Leon may appear as well, and according to the new report of Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem, Ada Wong is one of them, as you can check out below:
“Okay, so I sat on this for a bit, & thank you to Svitiwonder for bringing it to my attention. There was a slight slip up somewhere (I won't give context), this isn't from my sources, unintentional leak.
But Ada Wong is very likely in the Resident Evil Requiem's DLC.
That's all the context, it's not my claim. It's from something that went public a bit accidentally, I think it was an honest mistake so don't want to get anyone in trouble. But yeah, paints Ada being involved in RE9's DLC in some way. So to see how that goes ultimately.”
Ada Wong is one of the closest people to Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil lore, and the fact she was absent in Resident Evil Requiem gives another reason for her to appear in the DLC. Some of the fans have also noticed Leon wearing a ring in the game, and he might be married to someone—with Ada Wong remaining a really possible choice.
So far, Capcom hasn’t revealed any details of a story expansion for Resident Evil Requiem. The studio is also reportedly starting to work on Resident Evil 10, and Leon S. Kennedy may be involved in this installment.
