Cut Content From Resident Evil Requiem Revealed By Insider
Resident Evil Requiem, the latest Capcom installment, finally released last week, and, as expected, it’s one of the best games of 2026 so far and one of the best Resident Evil titles as well. The game has also received the highest user score (9.5) on Metacritic in the history of franchise.
Despite being a really proper title, the new report might disappoint some Resident Evil fans, as reliable game series insider AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem reveals the cut content from the final version of the game. He shared that Capcom wanted to add a second section of Raccoon City where the players would have been able to drive. Also, the mansion from the original Resident Evil title was set to appear, but it was scrapped. Scooper also added he doesn’t know whether it will be used in the upcoming DLC or not.
“I think some will think I'm bullshitting, but I swear I'm telling the truth here. I'm 100% aware of two things that got cut from RE9 for certain. There absolutely was a second section to Raccoon City you did drive around in, that was true. And I never said this publicly, & I never said this publicly (& glad I didn't as people might be trying to execute me if I did), but I am aware they did work on a return to the RE1 Mansion that's just not in the final game.
To see if they use scrapped stuff in DLC or something, who knows? I don't.”

These features would definitely have made Resident Evil Requiem an even better game, and it's so weird Capcom has decided to cut them.
