Bloober Team has released a 3.9GB update for The Medium. According to the patch notes, this patch brings performance enhancements to the entire game.
In addition, the patch solves the problem with crashes when loading saves, improves ray tracing and fixes problems with the sound and interaction of the heroine with some objects.

- Optimizing performance.
- Fixed bugs in various locations.
- Graphic fixes.
- Known crashes resolved.
- Improvements in interaction with game events and characters.
- Optimization of ray tracing.
- Corrections of audio parameters.
- Fixed lighting in some locations.
- Improvements in camera performance and settings.
This patch finally resolves the GPU usage issues that many fans have reported previously. However, the latest update does not address the terrible lags that are present in DX12.
