First Injustice 3 Images May Have Been Leaked

Rumors have been circulating for a long time that NetherRealm Studios is developing a new, third installment in its superhero fighting game series, Injustice. And it seems a recent leak has revealed the first images of the upcoming project and shown what one of the most famous characters in the DC Universe might look like.

New potential information about Injustice 3 has surfaced on Reddit. Users noticed the LinkedIn profile of a Collider Craftworks employee who worked on an unannounced AAA game for NetherRealm Studios. Most interestingly, this employee posted an image of a 3D model of The Flash’s helmet, which is presumably set to be used in Injustice 3. Users also note that Collider Craftworks assisted NetherRealm in the development of both Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat 1, and this is likely not a coincidence.

A guy has just dug up a LinkedIn profile from someone who worked at Collider Craftworks, who explicitly says he was working on a “yet to announce AAA project for NetherRealm.”

Collider has worked extensively with NRS on their games, including Injustice 2 and MK1.

But then look at the artwork. A Collider artist publicly posted a 3D model of the Flash’s helmet that has never been seen/used before. The design appears to be completely new.

Obviously, we don’t know 100% that the helmet is from the unannounced NRS project. But considering the timing, the people involved, Collider’s relationship with NRS, and the fact we’ve** **just had an external AAA 2D fighting game playtest, I think this is worth discussing. Could we have just got our first actual look at an asset from the game?

Last week, reports also surfaced about testing for an unannounced AAA fighting game, which took place in the U.S. There was no mention of Injustice 3, but nearly everyone is convinced that’s exactly what it was. It has long been reported the game is in the final stages of development, and this recent Reddit revelation only adds fuel to the fire in that regard.

However, NetherRealm Studios has not yet commented on the rumors regarding Injustice 3. Last month, the studio’s CCO, Ed Boon, confirmed Injustice 2, released in 2017, sold 9 million copies across all platforms.
