Leak Revealed New GTA 6 Details and Cut Content

We all remember how last month, shortly before the premiere of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on Netflix, a hacker known as Cyberleek spent just over a week leaking gameplay footage from an early version of GTA 6, revealing quite a few details. However, after Rockstar Games showed gameplay footage and unveiled new details, it seems no one is thinking about those leaks anymore. But at the same time, new leaks continue to surface.

Just recently, news broke about an early build of GTA 5—nearly 200 GB in size— that had been leaked. Although it pertains to the fifth installment, it has quite a few connections to GTA 6. User X Synaptic conducted extensive research on his page, explaining and showing what GTA 6 looked like in the early stages of development, as well as what was cut from the game during that time. You’ll find all the details of what is known so far below:

  • The game will feature its own version of Disneyland, as confirmed by various 3D models of rides and attractions. A replica of the NASA building has also been confirmed, along with a potential area from which rockets are launched into space.
  • Several images of Leonida Keys confirm the existence of the Shipwreck Treasures Museum and the Key West Aquarium, which players will apparently be able to visit. The Clinton Square Market building is also present.
  • Port Gellhorn will feature an oil refinery, a roller coaster, a water park, and a prison (where, according to the game’s storyline, Lucia is apparently being held).
  • As for cut content, during the development of GTA 6, Rockstar decided against making an island inspired by Fort Jefferson, Key West—a resort island and the southernmost point of the U.S.—as well as a section of the map in South America; there were rumors that missions or even part of the storyline would take place there.

On his page, Synaptic also posted a comparison of how the game looked in 2015 versus the current version, and confirmed he has full access to the leaked files —in terms of exploring those areas.

2015 VS 2026 GTA 6!

It should come as no surprise to anyone, that a significant amount of content was cut from GTA 6. Even though the title looks massive, the developers’ capabilities aren’t limitless. Perhaps when the game is released on PC or even on next-generation consoles— PlayStation 6 and Project Helix—the studio will be able to implement what it couldn’t in the game’s original version.

As for the leaked build of GTA 5, it once again confirmed a DLC featuring Liberty City—the setting of GTA 4—was planned for the game, and it also revealed cut locations, including a space station and an Arab mansion.

Rockstar Games has also announced physical releases of the GTA 6’s soundtrack in three editions, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. All are now available for pre-order, releasing November 19 alongside the game. You can also check out everything about Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album – all editions, pricing, tracklist, and more.

For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far—the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more - as well as everything about GTA 6 pre-order details: price, bonuses, exact time, and Ultimate Edition.
