GTA 6 News Might Be Soon, as Take-Two’s Annual Shareholder Meeting Is Scheduled for September 17

There are just over two months left until GTA 6, arguably the most anticipated game of the year, launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. After the spectacular reveal of the first gameplay footage during last month's Netflix presentation, fans are hungry for more, and another update could be coming as soon as this week.

The thing is, this week—specifically tomorrow, September 17—Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games, holds its annual shareholders meeting, taking place virtually. These events typically come with financial results, but there's a real chance some GTA 6 news gets shared too, possibly pre-order numbers, which are reportedly exceeds expectations.

With GTA 6 now less than two months away, I’m curious if we hear anything new from Take-Two, especially with the marketing ramp-up following the Extended Look.

Since GTA V also happens to hit its 13th anniversary on September 17, updated sales figures for that game are likely too. Back in August, GTA V had already crossed 230 million copies sold, a genuinely staggering number on its own.

As for GTA 6 itself, even without anything from Take-Two, plenty's been happening this past week regardless. Several artists, including Travis Scott, appear to have teased involvement in the game by posting GTA 6-styled artwork on social media. New images claiming to show a collector's edition have also surfaced, though Rockstar hasn't confirmed their authenticity.
