Users Offered Fresh Idea for GTA 6’s Marketing – Security Cameras Around Vice City Working 24/7

At the end of last month, Rockstar Games finally revealed gameplay footage from the most anticipated game of the year, GTA 6, and it became clear to everyone that the game’s long-awaited marketing campaign had begun. Since then, the studio has also shared a considerable amount of details, particularly regarding gameplay, and various streamers who gained access to the GTA 6 demo have discussed these details more thoroughly in their videos.

Given that there are still just over two months until the release of GTA 6, Rockstar is likely preparing some more content related to the game, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously hinted these could be even larger-scale presentations than “An Extended Look” on Netflix. For their part, Reddit users have proposed an unusual marketing idea for GTA 6: for Rockstar to launch a Twitch channel featuring multiple cameras in Vice City that are constantly live. According to Capital-Ad576, who proposed this idea, it would allow players to closely examine the density of the game world and how this vast sandbox is structured, and his idea was received extremely positively in the comments.

I wish SO MUCH Rockstar would do this for the marketing...

I’d love Rockstar to launch a Twitch channel a few weeks before release with just 3–4 fixed “security cams” around Vice City running 24/7.

No commentary, no trailer, no big explanation. Just the city living in the background — traffic, NPCs, weather, police, random shit happening, planes/helicopters, whatever.

You leave it on, people start spotting details, clipping weird moments, analyzing locations, etc.

Would be such a simple way to show how alive the world is without Rockstar even having to say it.

It’s unlikely, however, Rockstar Games will take this approach: it feels like the developers are deliberately holding back on revealing much about GTA 6 so that players will be even more impressed when they start playing and discover that the game has many features that weren’t really disclosed. Speaking further about the marketing campaign, it was recently revealed that Miami—the real-life prototype for Vice City (the city where GTA 6 is set)— will indeed feature various promotional materials from October 15 through December 31 of this year.

For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far—the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more - as well as everything about GTA 6 pre-order details: price, bonuses, exact time, and Ultimate Edition.
