Multiple Resident Evil Remakes Will Release on Switch 2 Next Month

The latest Nintendo Direct presentation, dedicated to upcoming releases on the Switch 2, has finished. A significant portion of the announcements came from third-party developers, and Capcom, as one of them, confirmed the release of several Resident Evil games on the Nintendo console.

This refers to remakes of games such as Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4, which will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16. Capcom has also confirmed that the second and fourth installments will include all previously released content, both story-based and cosmetic.

Relive the fear as these Resident Evil remakes rise up on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16th.

  • Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition
  • Resident Evil 3
  • Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition

As is well known, Capcom will release Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of the original Code Veronica that came out in 2000, next year. The exact release date has not been announced yet; unlike the remakes mentioned above, the game will be available on the Switch 2 on launch day. It will also be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Recently, the first possible gameplay footage of Resident Evil: Veronica also surfaced, showing Claire Redfield on Rockfort Island. Following this, Team Biohazard reported that the remake will release in the second quarter of 2027 —that is, between April 1 and June 30. However, Capcom has not yet made any official announcement regarding this matter.
