GTA 5 Actor Says Rockstar Rejected 60 Roles for Him In GTA 6

There's no doubt plenty of actors would love to be part of GTA 6, whether they have worked with Rockstar before or not. Unfortunately, though, there are cases where the studio turns down actors repeatedly, as recently happened with Robert Bogue.

Bogue, known for playing Steve Haines in GTA 5, recently told Anderson Burak that he had pitched Rockstar 60 different character ideas he could play in Grand Theft Auto VI—all of which the studio rejected, understandably disappointing him. You can check out Bogue's fuller comments below:

“I’m a little disappointed with Rockstar. I had an amazing experience working with them before. Some of the producers I worked with are still there, and so are several directors whom I have a great deal of respect for. I really wanted to be part of GTA 6, but they turned me down. I must have auditioned for more than 60 roles—some major, some minor. I didn’t care how big the role was; I just wanted to be in the game. I didn’t get any of them, and I never even heard back about a single one. Honestly, that was pretty discouraging.”

Oddly enough, Rockstar Games still hasn't confirmed the GTA 6 cast. Rumor has it Lucia will be voiced by Manni L. Perez and Jason by Dylan Rourke, and there have also been reports of Oscar Jaenada (as Raul Bautista), Bobby Moynihan (as Cal Hampton), and Stephen Root (as Brian Heder) being involved. At the same time, Jim Santangeli, who played Simon Pearson in Red Dead Redemption 2, has also confirmed having a minor role in GTA 6, though he didn't share any details.

Meanwhile, a new look at GTA 6 is expected sometime this month. According to reliable insider NateTheHate, it will be a "meaningful look" at the game, and there are even rumors we might get the first gameplay footage.
