Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Will Receive a New Suit – Dedicated to Spider-Man: Brand New Day Release

Less than a day ago, Sony Pictures Entertainment released a new trailer for the upcoming blockbuster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe— Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland. The trailer revealed the return of familiar characters like Scorpion (Michael Mando) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and also teased a new villain who appears to be Jean Grey, played by Sadie Sink. Meanwhile, the developers at Insomniac Games announced a special update timed to coincide with the film's release.

On their social media, the studio announced that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will feature a new costume inspired by Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which Peter Parker will wear in the upcoming movie. The Fresh Start suit will be available in the game on July 28th, shortly before the film's premiere.

Currently, Insomniac Games is working on their next project, Marvel's Wolverine, with the first gameplay revealed earlier this month during the State of Play event. Unlike the Spider-Man games, Marvel's Wolverine will not feature an open world, and its combat system will be more brutal. Although both games take place in the same universe, the studio has confirmed that Spider-Man will not appear in the game, not even in a cameo.

As for the future of Spider-Man in the Insomniac universe, it has been reported that the studio is also working on Marvel's Venom and Marvel's Spider-Man 3; both projects are not yet officially confirmed, but it is assumed that the spin-off about Venom could be released next year, and the Spider-Man sequel could come out in 2028 or 2029, and its release may coincide with the launch of PlayStation 6.
