Scale of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope DLC Will Be Large and Include Dozens of Gameplay Hours

This week, GSC Game World unveiled a new story trailer for the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl expansion titled Cost of Hope, which was announced back in March during the Xbox Partners Preview. Although the developers have yet to reveal an exact release date for the new DLC, they made it clear that this upcoming add-on will be a substantial expansion to the original game, with a significant amount of content.

Shortly after the story trailer was revealed, additional information about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope surfaced. It appears that GSC Game World is preparing to release an expansion comparable in scale and gameplay depth to The Blood and Wine for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk 2077. Players can expect dozens of hours of new content, including the exploration of new territories, fresh side quests, and a variety of other additions such as new weapons, gear, and anomalies. Moreover, Cost of Hope will introduce a new storyline centered around a city described as "the root of all evil in the Zone," along with a new character named Mavka.

In addition to Cost of Hope, GSC Game World is also working on Patch 2.0 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, as revealed by a recent leak. The patch is expected to be released before Cost of Hope.
