Bloober Team Officially Confirmed Cronos: Lazarus—New DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn

Not long ago, information surfaced that Bloober Team, the studio known for Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn, is currently working on seven new projects simultaneously. The situation was further fueled by a recent leak regarding DLC for the developers' horror game from last year, and the official announcement followed shortly after.

During yesterday's Future Games Show, Bloober Team officially unveiled a new narrative DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn titled Cronos: Lazarus, alongside a debut trailer and several key details. The studio revealed that the expansion introduces a new protagonist, The Pathfinder, who will eventually become The Warden. Plot details indicate that The Pathfinder is isolated from The Collective and forced to embark on a mission involving the awakening of a lost Entity. The developers have also confirmed that Cronos: Lazarus will feature gameplay that differs somewhat from the original game. The studio is focusing more on action, delivering fast-paced and aggressive combat rather than tactical survival strategies. This is likely related to the introduction of a new hunter pursuing the protagonist, whose abilities are quite comparable to those of The Warden. Currently, the release date for the Cronos: Lazarus expansion remains unknown.

This wasn’t the only announcement from Bloober Team in recent days: at Summer Game Fest, the developers unveiled a new online project inspired by the Saw franchise— SAW: Genesis. It’s an asymmetric 3v1 multiplayer shooter set during World War I. The release date is still unknown, but registration is already open for the closed beta test.
