Geoff Keighley Confirmed the Final Announcement at Summer Game Fest Will Be Single-Player Title

Less than half an hour remains until the Summer Game Fest - the main gaming show of this summer. Fans around the world are getting ready to witness announcements of new projects, as well as showcases of already confirmed games from various studios.

In December of last year, during The Game Awards 2025, fans were disappointed that the show was 'closed' by the game Highguard - a multiplayer shooter that also shut down 2 months after its announcement. And if anyone had any guesses that the same would happen at the Summer Game Fest, they are wrong.

On his X page, Summer Game Fest host Geoff Keighley made a loud announcement - he confirmed that the final announcement at the show will be dedicated to a "single player, narrative game." Of course, he did not directly state what game it would be, but considering that the word "announcement" is present in the sentence, it is most likely about a project that has not yet been officially confirmed.

Users in the comments have already begun making their guesses, and most once again interpreted this as a possible announcement of Half-Life 3. Over the past couple of weeks, Keighley has repeatedly teased (or just joked) that the game might be announced at the Summer Game Fest, but what is far more important is that, according to rumors, Half-Life 3 announcement was supposed to be at The Game Awards 2025. If this is indeed the case, we might be in for the biggest gaming show in history.
