Fallout 3 Remake Might Be Finally Announced This Week at Xbox Games Showcase

While everyone is discussing the State of Play presentation from PlayStation, which took place less than a day ago, the hype around upcoming game presentations, such as Summer Game Fest and Xbox Games Showcase, continues to grow; as a result, even more rumors and insider information are surfacing.

A new report on possible announcements, in particular at the Xbox Games Showcase, which will take place on June 7, was shared by Windows Central editor Jez Corden. In his blog, he speculated about which studios might be involved and which projects could potentially be revealed. One of these could be the long-awaited Fallout 3 remake, which, as Corden previously claimed, could be released as soon as next year. However, he does not expect a reveal of Fallout 5 or the long-suffering The Elder Scrolls VI, announced back in 2018, as they will not be released in the near term. “As such, I wouldn't expect to see Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 5 here, sadly, as neither are likely to come out in the next 12 months. But maybe we could catch a glimpse at the long-rumored Fallout 3 remake?”

Continuing the topic, the journalist stated that he would like to see an announcement of a new game from Machine Games—a studio that, according to rumors, is working on the third installment of Wolfenstein and another multiplayer shooter, as well as DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages—the size of which, according to id Software, is comparable to a new entry in the franchise. Corden's report also mentions the following projects:

• Marvel's Blade
• Clockwork Revolution
• Fable
• New game from Activision and Elsewhere Entertainment (described as a competitor to GTA and Cyberpunk 2077)
• State of Decay 3
• Toys for Bob's long-rumored Spyro project
• Halo: Campaign Evolved
• Gears of War: E-Day

Speaking of the latter, immediately after the end of the Xbox Games Showcase, an event dedicated to the new game from The Coalition studio - Gears of War: E-Day Direct —will take place. Most likely, it is there that we will learn the game's release date, which so far remains unknown.
