Doom: The Dark Ages DLC Will Be Huge, and It Feels Like Game’s Sequel
Released last year, Doom: The Dark Ages has been a great success for Bethesda Game Studios but especially for developers, as the game has become the most successful title at launch in the history of id Software. The players also enjoyed the game, and there is no surprise a DLC for The Dark Ages is expected release soon.
Although there is no specific information on the release date, some exciting details have been revealed by Hugo Martin, game director of id Software, during the latest Slayers Club Live podcast. According to him, a planned DLC for Doom: The Dark Ages will be massive, and it actually looks like the game’s sequel. More of the details you can check out below:
- DLC is having a large endgame sequence and requires a very high skill ceiling;
- The quick-swapping tech feature could be unlocked, but in an unusual way. According to Martin, "There's some pretty crazy stuff in there that I think is going to be really, really awesome";
- Players will have to spend a lot of time to master it, but it’s literally a gamechanger;
- Direct speech: "It would be cool if you could dash evade and then maybe stab with something";
- The DLC is likely to be at the final stage of development, as Hugo Martin is personally testing it;
- Trailer is also to be revealed soon;
- Darin DePaul will return. He previously voiced Samuel in Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal and also Kreed in Doom: The Dark Ages;
