GTA 6 Trailer 3 Rumored to Appear at Next PlayStation’s State of Play

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, the studio’s parent company, are actively working on the marketing campaign of GTA 6—the most anticipated title of 2026 and perhaps the most ambitious title for them. There have been rumors and speculation that the game’s new trailer might be released this month, shortly before the launch of the marketing campaign, which is set to begin this summer, and several facts point to this.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, recently spoke with Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier; specifically, he stated that he knows players are having as high expectations as possible and it’s “terrifying,” as well as that Rockstar’s “creative teams are given unlimited financial resources to deliver perfection.” Zelnick also confirmed that GTA 6 is not releasing for PC on the launch day not because of some “exclusive partnership with Sony” but because of the developer’s history of releasing Grand Theft Auto games on consoles first.

Nevertheless, in a further article on Bloomberg, Jason Schreier, the one who doesn’t have a great relationship with Rockstar Games, has released a statement, spotted by X social media user GTAVI_Countdown, that Rockstar Games actually does have a marketing deal with Sony, but it’s also not a reason why the game will not be released on PC the same day as consoles.

At the same time, another reliable gaming insider, DetectiveSeeds, recalled how, in 2024, he was tipped off about the PlayStation-Take-Two deal, thanks to which GTA 6 could potentially be unveiled at a Sony event, as you can check out below:

“I do believe someone said in 2024 that there was a strategic and “timed” marketing deal between Playstation and Take-Two for GTA6 and that we could likely see GTA6 show up at a Playstation event.”

Last week, insider NateTheHate clarified that Sony is reportedly planning to hold another State of Play show late this month or in early June. That means we can potentially get a new trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI at that event, given the fact that Take-Two and PlayStation do have a partnership and Rockstar Games is actively working on the start of the game’s marketing campaign. Plus, Take-Two is holding another financial report this month, on May 21. It looks like the stars are aligning in such a way that we’re sure to see new official content for the game in the coming month.
