Resident Evil Requiem Rumored to Have Two Story Expansions

There are some speculations about the confirmed DLC for Resident Evil Requiem, especially after the recent statement from Capcom that the game will soon receive a mini-game update. However, the fans are seemingly more interested in finding out some information about story expansion.

We still don’t know what the plot of the Requiem expansion will be about, even though we've heard plenty of rumors about characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Grace Ashcroft, Alyssa Ashcroft, Ada Wong, etc. It’s really intriguing to see what Capcom has prepared for the fans, whether it takes place after the events of Requiem, before or during—or, maybe, all of this. Nevertheless, the official details are unknown at the moment.

However, we also heard plenty of insider information from game series scooper Marcox, and the latest report reveals plenty of interesting stuff, including the possibility of driving in Raccoon City— the feature that reportedly was cut from the original game. Now, another source claims that Resident Evil Requiem will actually have two story expansions: the first will be dedicated to Leon S. Kennedy and Alyssa Ashcroft, while the second will focus on Chris Redfield and Ada Wong. Although this information should be considered with a grain of salt, X social media user fatiimaabdou references the leaker who spoiled a lot of things about Resident Evil Requiem, which turned out to be true, as you can check out below:

“A Chinese account confirmed the existence of additional content focusing on "Chris and Ada" before the release of the ninth installment, which made me even more optimistic because most of its leaks were accurate and people confirmed their validity after playing the game. All that's left is for Capcom to confirm the news and surprise us.”

The fans must be really happy if that report is true and Resident Evil Requiem is indeed to receive two story expansions, and each of them will be dedicated to different characters. According to another report, Capcom may present the first teaser of Requiem’s story expansion next week, on May 15.

Besides DLC for Requiem, the studio is also developing Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake, which is said to be their top priority at the moment, and Resident Evil 10, which is rumored to feature a new protagonist, Talia, and the battle between some iconic game series characters (Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Chris Redfield) against Alex Mercer, who will serve as the villain.
