New God of War Title Might Be Announced This Month
We know that there are several God of War games currently in development. Announced at State of Play in February, God of War Trilogy Remake will bring back TC Carson as Kratos, and there are also rumors about the next mainline game series title set in Egypt and a new title featuring Faye as protagonist. Perhaps one of those games will be officially confirmed this month.
This information was revealed by gaming insider Tom Henderson, who shared this statement in the latest episode of Insider Gaming Weekly. According to him, “the next mainline God of War game was due to be announced in April”.
We still don’t know if Sony is about to make a State of Play show on April 16, which is rumored, but if it’s actually happening, we can expect the announcement during the event. Henderson also mentioned that it will be “the next mainline God of War game”; therefore, we may suggest it’s not a project related to Faye but the new adventures of Kratos, which probably take him to Egypt.
As for now, we don’t have any proofs about the official announcement of a new God of War game this month, so this report should be considered with a grain of salt.
Besides God of War Trilogy Remake and two new God of War games about Faye and the next mainline title, Amazon is developing a TV show based on God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok, which is currently in production.
