Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Roadmap Revealed — New Acts, Map & Live Event Incoming
Epic Games has unveiled a roadmap for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, giving players a clearer look at how the season’s story and content will unfold.
A Season Built Around Rivalry
Chapter 7 Season 2, titled Showdown, launched on March 19 and centers on a major conflict between The Foundation and the Ice King, with the Dark Voyager also playing a key role. Players are asked to choose a side and contribute by completing in-game rivalries to earn points for their team.
The first chapter of the story, Act 1: Rise of the King, has already concluded, with both factions successfully completing all milestone objectives.
What’s Next: Upcoming Acts
With Act 1 complete, Epic has revealed the remaining structure of the season:
- Act 2: The Elites – Expected to focus on the upcoming Elite Stronghold map for Fortnite Reload
- Act 3: Redacted – Details remain unknown, keeping its theme a mystery
- Epilogue – The season will wrap up with a live in-game event
Progression and Gameplay Changes
Rivalries played a major role in Act 1, requiring players to defeat members of the opposing faction to earn points. It’s currently unclear whether this system will continue in Act 2, though the focus may shift toward playing the Reload mode tied to the new map.
Players who reach Elite rank or higher will gain early access to the Elite Stronghold map on April 18, while full access will roll out to all players on April 20.
Season Finale Ahead
Although details about Act 3 remain under wraps, the season is building toward a major conclusion. Fortnite Showdown is set to end on June 6, 2026, with a live event expected to take place near the end of the season.
Overall, the roadmap suggests a more structured and story-driven approach, with each act expanding the ongoing conflict and leading toward a large-scale finale.
