Insider Clarifies Possible Reveal of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced This Week

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the remake of 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, is indeed in development at Ubisoft, which was finally confirmed by the studio back in March. However, we haven’t seen the game’s footage yet, but rumors are claiming it will happen soon.

Last week, we heard the information from multiple sources, including gaming insider Tom Henderson, that the official full announcement of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is scheduled for April 16. Reports of an upcoming State of Play, which is allegedly set to take place on the same day, have also added fuel to the fire. And although Sony has not yet confirmed the event, reputable insider NateTheHate now reports that Microsoft is now preparing to hold a special gaming show on April 16—moreover, it will feature the new installment of Metro, titled Metro 2039.

It looks like April 16 will be a truly momentous day for the gaming industry, and with Microsoft likely to hold an event, gamers are wondering whether to expect an announcement for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, as rumors suggest it will be announced on that very day.

However, NateTheHate clarified that Assassin's Creed Resynced is unlikely to be featured in any presentations and will be announced “on its own,” as you can check out below:

“I believe Assassin's Creed Black Flag is being revealed on its own & isn't associated to any presentation.”

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is believed to have been in development at Ubisoft for a while, and the game reportedly was set to release earlier, but due to restructuring inside the company, the release window was moved. Besides the remake of Black Flag, the studio is also working on Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe—the next mainline game in the franchise, set during the 16th-century Witch Hunts of Germany—multiplayer Assassin’s Creed Codename Invictus, and mobile Assassin’s Creed Jade.
