The Rumored New Metro Video Game Title Reportedly Revealed
Yesterday, gaming insiders started to reveal that the announcement of the next Metro video game, developed by 4A Games, is imminent. The game is said to be officially confirmed on April 16—the same day when PlayStation could hold their next State of Play presentation.
So far, none of this has been confirmed, but more details about the upcoming Metro video game have been revealed. Specifically, yet another source, gaming journalist Jez Corden from Windows Central, confirms 4A Games will announce a new Metro next week. Moreover, he revealed it will be titled Metro 2039, as you can check out his latest post on X social media below:
“Metro 2039.
Soon.”
Based on Corden’s post, Metro 2039 will be a sequel to Metro Exodus and set a few years after Metro Exodus, as the game is reportedly taking place somewhere between 2025 and 2026. Unfortunately, he hasn’t revealed any more details of the game, but the closer we get to April 16, we will probably see more information about the upcoming project.
There is also information that back in 2022, 4A Games cancelled a Metro video game, which would have been fully open-world, featuring Hunter as the main character, and was based on Metro 2034 novel. More information you can find here.
