Possible Footage of a New Metro Video Game Reportedly Revealed
It’s been heavily rumored that 4A Games, the developers of Metro game series, will announce a new franchise title on April 16. The game is reportedly titled Metro 2039, and amid numerous rumors, the first images of the upcoming game may have surfaced online.
Some clips from the upcoming Metro 2039 may have been revealed. These leaked videos include the possible game’s intro and one of cutscenes. You can check out both leaked videos below:
Anyway, videos like these may simply be speculation fueled by rumors about the game and have nothing to do with the upcoming announcement. The second video, in particular, raises a lot of questions, as it clearly uses artificial intelligence and features voice acting and animation that aren't of the highest quality.
We’ll have to wait for comments from the insiders who confirmed the imminent announcement of a new Metro game to find out whether these videos are part of the upcoming game.
At the same time, another Metro video game, which was in development at 4A Games and got cancelled in 2022, has leaked as well. According to the information we know so far, this cancelled Metro title would have been the adaptation of Metro 2034 novel, set between January 2023 and December 2034, and featured Hunter as the main character. It also would have been a fully open-world Metro game, with a possibility to use metro tunnels as well. You can also check out concept art and screenshots from the cancelled Metro title here.
