Ubisoft Bordeaux Might Be Working on Some Unannounced Video Games

Although it seemed that Ubisoft might have a massive 2026, with a report that the company was planning to release multiple projects, including the new Far Cry and Splinter Cell remake, now the situation is different. The studio is confirmed to have a huge restructuring, and as a result we know that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake, some Assassin’s Creed titles, and more games have been cancelled. And that’s not the end of the story, as the fate of Beyond Good and Evil 2, the new Ghost Recon game, and the aforementioned Far Cry 7 remain unknown.

Ubisoft Bordeaux Might Be Working on Some Unannounced Video Games 1

"Founded in 2017 by a handful of Ubisoft experts, our studio now counts over 400 talents from 20 different nationalities. Our teams contribute to some of Ubisoft's biggest franchises: leading the production of Assassin's Creed Mirage in 2023, working on Assassin's Creed Shadows and the Claws of Awaji expansions, as well as unannounced projects."

Ubisoft Bordeaux is well-known as the studio that led the development of 2023’ Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released last year. According to the recent report, the next mainline Assassin’s Creed, released after Assassin’s Creed Hexe, will be set in the Aztec Empire and currently has the codename Assassin’s Creed Nebula. This might be the project Ubisoft Bordeaux might be involved in, but it’s only speculation for now.

Ubisoft is still reportedly planning to release two Assassin’s Creed titles this year: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the remake of 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed Hexe—the next mainline franchise game, announced back in 2022 and set during the Holy Roman Empire. Neither title has the release date yet.
