Insider Claims Ubisoft Is Planning Some Big Releases This Year
According to reliable gaming insider Tom Henderson, this year Ubisoft is planning to make some ambitious moves about their upcoming video games, and a recent report is taking the wraps off.
As revealed by the PlayFront website, with a reference to Tom Henderson, French developers are looking to release plenty of their new titles this year and announce new games as well. At least three big Assassin’s Creed games are set to release in 2026: Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced (the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag), Assassin’s Creed Hexe, set in the Holy Empire, and the multiplayer title Assassin’s Creed Invictus, and the mobile Assassin’s Creed Jade could also be releasing this year.
Nevertheless, Ubisoft is making a huge bet on the new, seventh Far Cry entry set to be announced and released this year, which is heavily rumored to be in development but still unconfirmed. Moreover, the developers are planning to release the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and the Splinter Cell remake this year, and let’s not forget Beyond Good & Evil 2 and a new Ghost Recon game called Over.
At last, Ubisoft Forward, the annual digital presentation, should be huge this year as well, as the studio celebrates its 40th anniversary, and sources are claiming we will get a new record for new announcements of new video games. However, there is no official date for Ubisoft Forward 2026 yet.
