ARC Raiders Winter Event Introduces Free Rewards and a Game-Changing Map Condition

Starting December 16, winter rolls across ARC Raiders’ maps with the arrival of Cold Snap, a new environmental condition that joins the existing rotation. Cold Snap blankets affected areas in snow while plunging temperatures to dangerous levels.

This isn’t just a visual change:

• Visibility is reduced, making long-range engagements far riskier
• Staying outdoors for too long causes frostbite, which can quickly become fatal

Embark warns that frostbite can “cut your Raider down in minutes” if ignored. To survive, players will need to seek shelter indoors or constantly heal, forcing a major shift in playstyles. Camping outside, prolonged firefights, or reckless rotations could now end runs far faster than expected.

Flickering Flames Community Event 🔥

Balancing out the lethal new map condition is the launch of Flickering Flames, a fresh community event inspired by the Stella Montis project. This time, players are tasked with:

• Donating items tied to light and heat
• Gathering a new resource known as the Candleberry Bush

Contributions earn Merits, which can be exchanged for a wide range of rewards, giving players strong incentives to participate even while braving harsher conditions.
