Polyphony Digital is Working On a New Gran Turismo Video Game

2026 will have a solid list of racing video games. Of course, the most anticipated title in genre is Forza Horizon 6, which will be set in Japan. We also have Star Wars: Galactic Racer, developed by former Burnout developers, as well as new installments of F1 and Moto GP, and possibly a new AAA open-world racing video game by Maverick Games studio, which, unfortunately, has recently lost Amazon as its publisher.

It seems like another well-known racing game series is returning, as Polyphony Digital has seemingly started to work on a new Gran Turismo video game. As revealed via the studio’s website, the company is looking for new employees in 18 positions, including CG artists, technical artists, project managers, and more. Considering the studio is looking for a new staff, it’s likely the game is only at the early stage of development and release is not expected to happen soon.

The latest Gran Turismo video game, Gran Turismo 7, was released in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
