Despite releasing in the middle of the juggernauts—Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7—the game continues to perform exceptionally well. ARC Raiders has skyrocketed into the top tier of Steam’s most-played titles, maintaining:

  • 300,000+ daily concurrent users at peak
  • 100,000+ active players even at its lowest points These numbers don’t even include PlayStation and Xbox players, meaning the true audience is significantly higher.

Of course, success hasn’t come without headaches. Earlier, Embark had to hotfix an exploit letting players sneak into locked rooms without keycards. More recently, the community uncovered a new out-of-bounds trick—especially on the massively popular Stella Montis map. In an extraction-focused game, getting eliminated by someone abusing a glitch outside the map is more than annoying—it breaks the core gameplay loop. Fortunately, the newest update directly tackles this problem.

Stella Montis Exploit Eliminated in Latest Update 🛠️

While Update 1.6.0 doesn’t introduce new content, it brings several high-impact fixes aimed at cleaning up the overall experience. According to Embark’s official patch notes:

  • The zipline on Stella Montis—which allowed players to escape the map—has been removed.
  • A collision bug in Blue Gate that let players vault and drop through a wall has been fixed.
  • Several material issues were corrected to ensure objects properly block bullet fire and ARC vision.
  • A collision gap in the Spaceport Launch Tower that allowed players to be shot through a wall has been resolved.

Embark also confirmed a notable scheduling change 📅. Instead of the usual Thursday patch rhythm, the studio will shift its release cadence to Tuesdays, along with store refreshes. The team will take a holiday break after the upcoming update, with more improvements lined up for January.
