Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Patch Notes Update 1.2.2 Released
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Patch Notes anchor this week’s small but pointed update for Konami’s remake. The newly released Title Update 1.2.2 arrives with a narrow focus and leaves the broader state of the game unchanged, especially on PC, where long-standing performance concerns still wait for a meaningful overhaul.
Most of the adjustments land inside FOX HUNT, the game’s competitive mode that has become a low-stakes testing ground for tweaks. The studio has set Sacred Garden’s field condition to permanent fog, a move meant to rein in sightlines and bring its matches closer to the mode’s intended pace. Spawn points in the same area have been moved apart after players raised concerns about opponents materializing too close together. Damage values receive another round of tuning, with headshots and several weapon classes hitting harder after the update. Matchmaking rules also shift slightly, though the studio does not elaborate on the criteria.
The main campaign receives only minor bug fixes and small adjustments. Virtuos Games, the support studio handling the project, notes that nothing in this patch widens the game’s visual settings or system controls. The lack of movement on that front highlights two persistent gaps in the PC release. The first involves the absence of an in-game option to unlock framerate. Players still rely on MGSDeltaFix to push past the default cap, a workaround that has become standard for those running modern hardware. The mod’s stability and the fact it does not distort physics have made it a fixture for PC users seeking a smoother experience.
The second gap concerns Hardware Lumen, the lighting feature that remains hidden behind manual configuration edits. While the setting can produce stronger results in certain locations, it continues to crash the game during the Volgin fight. Anyone enabling it must remember to disable it in advance of that sequence or risk a forced restart.
Performance remains unchanged across the board. High-end PCs handle the game well enough, but mid-range and budget systems struggle unless players lean on DLSS or FSR. Virtuos offers no indication that optimization work is forthcoming, and the studio’s update cadence supports that expectation. For now, the remake remains most comfortable on capable hardware.

Steam will apply the patch automatically on the next launch. The full changelog is included below for reference.
