Stellar Blade Hits PC on June 11 With Big Upgrades and More Fan Service
Stellar Blade, the stylish sci-fi action game originally released on PS5, is officially making its way to PC on June 11, 2025. A leaked trailer surfaced on Reddit, showing off not just the release date but also a massive list of PC-exclusive enhancements — and, of course, more outfits for Eve.
What’s New in the Stellar Blade PC Version?
According to the trailer (which has now been widely reposted), the PC port of Stellar Blade comes with a long list of upgrades:
- Unlocked framerate (footage shows 120+ FPS even without DLSS)
- Higher resolution environments
- AI upscaling (Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3)
- Ultrawide support (from 5:4 to 32:9 aspect ratios)
- DualSense controller support
- Japanese and Chinese voiceovers
- A new boss battle against a character named Mann
- 25 brand-new costumes for Eve
The Complete Edition of the game will include all previously released DLC, including the NieR: Automata crossover items. Preorder bonuses are also visible in the trailer, though Sony and developer Shift Up haven’t made any official announcements yet.
As of now, it’s not confirmed if these new costumes or the Mann boss fight will make their way to the PS5 version, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they did post-launch.

Shift Up: A Studio With Something to Prove
Just one fact for you to feel. Shift Up gives PS5 Pro gifts and bonuses to employees at the beginning of the year. And now for the facts, Shift Up, the South Korean studio behind Stellar Blade, is led by Kim Hyung-tae, best known for his work as the lead artist on Blade & Soul. Before Stellar Blade, the studio found success in the mobile space with Destiny Child, which featured eye-catching designs and fast-paced gameplay.
Stellar Blade marked the studio’s first full console release, and it didn’t play it safe. The game blends Bayonetta-style combat, NieR-inspired themes, and character design that’s both celebrated and controversial. Its PlayStation 5 launch in April 2024 drew praise for its smooth gameplay, cinematic presentation, and ambitious worldbuilding.
Polygon described it as “an impressive console debut that suggests a very promising future for Shift Up.” With the PC version, the studio now moves from console exclusivity to broader territory — a big step for a relatively new player in the AAA space.
Stellar Blade has already made waves in the action RPG scene. It stands out not just for its combat, but also for its unapologetic approach to character design — something that sparked online debates and fan modding activity almost immediately. That didn’t stop the game from being a commercial success.
The move to PC signals two key industry shifts:
- Sony’s Continued Push Toward PC Releases – Sony has been leaning more into PC with major titles like God of War, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us. Stellar Blade follows that trend, likely bringing a new revenue wave from modding communities and ultrawide gamers.
- Korean Developers Entering the AAA Scene – For years, Korean studios were primarily known for MMOs and mobile games. Stellar Blade shows that Korea is now pushing into single-player narrative-driven experiences at a global scale, with polish that rivals Japanese and Western studios.
PC players get the best version of Stellar Blade, no doubt. With full graphical enhancements, mod potential, and new content, this release isn’t just a port — it’s a signal of Shift Up’s global ambitions. And if this launch goes well, don’t be surprised if the studio becomes a bigger player in the next generation of action games.
Stay tuned for an official announcement — but June 11 is looking like a locked-in date.
