Amazon’s God of War Casts Ed Skrein in a Villain Role
God of War TV show that is currently in development for Amazon Prime Video has cast another actor. Recently, we found out Callum Vinson (Chucky) is set to play Atreus alongside Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy), who will portray Kratos, and the new actor will play a character familiar to this duo.
Deadline reports Ed Skrein (Deadpool, Jurassic World Rebirth) will play Baldur, the antagonist of God of War (2018), in the upcoming show. He’s another great addition to the project’s cast after Olafur Darri Olafsson (Thor), Mandy Patinkin (Odin), Alastair Duncan (Mimir), Danny Woodburn (Brok), Jeff Gulka (Sindi), Teresa Parkers (Sif), and Max Parker (Heimdall).
Amazon’s God of War series will have two seasons (at least) and is confirmed to adapt the events of God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok video games. Frederick E.O. Toye (Shogun) is confirmed to direct the first two episodes of season one. The production and release date remain unknown for now.
As for the new God of War video games, announced at PlayStation’s State of Play, God of War Trilogy Remake is in development for PlayStation 5, featuring TC Carson as Kratos. Also, a new mainline God of War game set in Egypt is rumored to be in development and announced this summer.
