EA Sports decided to remove Russia from FIFA and NHL games
According to insider Tom Henderson, EA Sports has decided to remove Russia from FIFA and NHL games. It is reported that at the moment we are talking at least about football and hockey simulators. The publisher allegedly already sent out an email in which he spoke about his intentions in connection with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In a new email, EA has announced that it will be removing Russia from its FIFA and NHL games due to its invasion of Ukraine.
The insider does not specify whether this will apply to projects that have already been released or are just being prepared, which will be released in the near future. At the same time, it is not known whether the blocking will affect only the national teams of Russia or whether individual Russian players from foreign teams will also be removed from the rosters. In addition, the games are likely to lose all sorts of symbols one way or another connected with Russia.
Note that content related to Russia is also available in other games from EA Sports. It is also unclear how Russia will be "removed" from the games. It remains only to wait for the official announcement from the publisher.
