Clash of Clans Introduces Global Pricing for Fairer Play

Playing a game you enjoy can quickly lose its charm if prices feel unfair. To address this, Supercell has introduced a new global pricing system for Clash of Clans, now active in more than 100 countries.

Regional Pricing Adjustments

Instead of a single flat price worldwide, in-game purchases and items from the Supercell Store will now reflect the cost of living in each country. This change makes the game more accessible by ensuring prices are affordable in regions where they were previously too high, while avoiding situations where they felt disproportionately cheap elsewhere.

Restrictions on Gifting

To maintain fairness, Supercell has limited Gold Pass and Event Pass gifting across regions. Players in lower-priced regions can no longer send passes to those in higher-priced areas, preventing unfair advantages. However, gifting is still available within regions that share the same pricing structure.

Regular Price Reviews

Supercell has also confirmed it will review regional prices regularly. This means players won’t need to worry about sudden or frequent changes, and can expect pricing to stay aligned with local economic conditions.

Previously, a single Gold Pass price didn’t work globally—it was affordable in some regions but nearly unattainable in others. By introducing this flexible system, Supercell aims to create a fairer environment, where all players, regardless of location, can enjoy the game on equal terms.
