EA Sports previously ran a social media contest in which fans were encouraged to submit videos of their accomplishments. Tens of thousands have applied, and four winners have been selected to appear on the show.

Both episodes will be streamed on EA Sports FIFA Twitch and YouTube channels. Celebrities will pair up with professional players/influencers and one of the four winners of the competition. Members will select squads through FIFA Ultimate Team, an in-game marketplace that allows users to level up digital footballers and sell them online.

Note that actor Jason Sudeikis will play the role of Ted Lasso from his show of the same name on Apple +. FIFA Face-Off will also run mini-games throughout the show with additional prizes for viewers and players.
