GRID Esports expands partnership with DPC series in North America, Western Europe and China
Game data processing company GRID Esports has announced that it has expanded its partnership with Romanian tournament operator PGL to become the official DPC series partner in North America, Western Europe and China. As part of the deal, the company will fully own the rights to tournament series data to provide integrity, data security, and an additional monetization channel.
The DPC is the backbone of the Dota 2 scene and the esports industry in general, and we are proud to be a part of it along with our longtime partner PGL. We have been proud to be PGL's Media Partner at previous major PGL tournaments and are now very pleased to be trusted by several DPC regions. We look forward to providing our services to top-tier Dota 2 competitions around the world in 2023.
Charlie Hanley-Nicholls, Purchasing Director at GRID Esports
The DPC Series tournaments that GRID Esports will serve in 2023 cover all seasons for each region. Thus, it includes a winter tour (from January 9 to February 21), a spring tour (from March 12 to April 25) and a summer tour (from May 15 to June 27). However, the tournament operator PGL will not host a single Dota 2 Major this year.
GRID Esports and PGL originally became partners in 2019, and the companies have collaborated on several events since then. Last year, the parties interacted within PGL Major Arlington 2022 for Dota 2 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022 for CS:GO.
It should be noted that in October last year, GRID Esports also announced the renewal of a partnership agreement with the Ukrainian tournament operator WePlay Esports.
