Rumors: JMR Luna to step down as OG CEO
According to the portal BLIX.GG, JMR Luna will leave the post of CEO of the European eSports organization OG. It is reported that the Spanish functionary, who has held this position since June 2020, will remain at the club, but will work in a different position. At the same time, the name of the person who will take on the role of CEO of OG has not been reported.
According to sources, JMR Luna will definitely leave the position of CEO and instead take on a different role in the organization. However, the Spaniard's future at the club may yet change, as his future work remains in question. Also, the person who will be responsible for the role of CEO has not yet been determined.
It is not known what caused the possible reshuffle in the leadership team. However, the fact that JMR Luna is preparing to stay in a European organization may indicate some problems in his role. At the time of publication of the material, the OG organization has not released an official statement.
Recall that in terms of esports achievements, OG failed to get into the VALORANT affiliate program, and also shows very poor results in Dota 2 and CS:GO disciplines. At the same time, the organization recently announced its departure from VALORANT, and also suspended the activities of the CS:GO youth program.
JMR Luna has a wealth of experience in esports. In 2017, he was Head of Content at the North American organization Evil Geniuses, and in 2018 he became Vice President of Content Production for Immortals and its brands MIBR and Los Angeles Valiant. He then stepped back from the stage to spend some time with his other passion, producing a movie for Netflix.
