The European esports organization G2 Esports has announced the departure of Carlos Rodriguez from the post of CEO of the club. A little earlier, the Spanish functionary filed a petition for removal from office after a scandal broke out involving ocelote.

On the night of September 18, Carlos Rodriguez was subjected to massive criticism from the community due to a video from a party in honor of the release of the League of Legends roster at Worlds 2022. Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer who is known for his tough remarks against women, was noticed in the video.

Immediately after that, many representatives of esports condemned ocelote and also called on the G2 Esports organization to take action. A day later, the European club suspended Carlos Rodriguez from his post for two months with salary deduction. However, ocelote himself later submitted a letter of resignation from the club.

Carlos Rodriguez has served as CEO of G2 Esports since 2013. Together with the Spaniard, the club has won over 14 League of Legends tournaments, four Counter-Strike: Global Offensive championships and ten Rainbow Six Siege events. In addition, the club has expanded into a number of disciplines with him, including Rocket League and VALORANT.
