ASUS ROG Partners with Gamers8 Charity Tournament Series
Gaming hardware brand ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced a partnership with the Saudi eSports Federation to sponsor the upcoming Gamers8 charity championship series. In addition to the presentation of the brand itself, as part of the agreement, ASUS ROG will be represented by its own booth at Gamers8, which will be held this summer in Riyadh. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed by the parties.
Omar Batterjee, Head of Communications, Marketing and Partnerships, Saudi Esports Federation: "Gamers8 will be an incredible spectacle in Riyadh this summer, blurring the boundaries between the physical and virtual worlds and providing elite esports championships, concerts, shows and events for all ages."
Gamers8 will take place in Riyadh. The championship series will include competitions in such disciplines as Rocket League, Dota 2, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG MOBILE with a total prize pool of $15 million. Tournaments will be broadcast worldwide in at least eight different languages.
It should be noted that Mastercard signed a similar partnership with the Saudi Arabia eSports Federation a little earlier. Gamers8 promises to be "the biggest esports and gaming event in the world", including esports competitions, music concerts, comedy and magic shows, and a forum with industry leaders and experts.
