Gamers8, Saudi Arabia's global gaming and esports festival tournament series, will return to screens in 2023. The organizers announced the return of the competition, doubling the total prize pool to $30,000,000. The event will kick off on July 6 and run for eight weeks, but details on the exact timing of esports events, concerts, and other activations have not been released.
The Gamers8 Festival will take place for eight weeks in Riyadh and will include esports competitions, panel discussions, workshops, concerts and community gaming activities.
Showcasing the most popular games on the planet will be stepped up this summer. Honestly, when we mean bigger and better this summer, we really mean it. We can't wait to share what we have in stock.
Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Arabia eSports Federation
The first Gamers8 festival took place last year with the support of the Saudi Arabian eSports Federation. It is reported that in 2023, the tournament called "Land of Heroes" will be more ambitious in every way, from the prize pool to the number of games and events.
Gamers8 is "the world's largest gaming and esports event, the destination for the world's elite esports champions and fans of the gaming universe."
Note that last year the organizers held competitions in such disciplines as PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six, Dota 2, Fortnite and Rocket League. The organizers promised to provide more information about the festival in the near future.
