G2 Esports Launches Metaverse Called Samurai Army

European esports organization G2 Esports has launched a new NFT project called Samurai Army in partnership with Metaplex, an NFT ecosystem powered by Solana. Samurai Army will be a series of randomly generated Samurai NFTs. Each of them will be unique, and the official website of the project states that there are 6,262 possible combinations of samurai to collect.

According to a press release, the project is a "social club for gamers" whose members will have lifetime access to the Samurai Army. Project participants will be able to explore the virtual city of Agania, gather groups for boss battles, and compete in various temporary events.

Carlos Rodriguez, CEO of G2 Esports: “We created this project for those who believe in G2 and our commitment to interacting physically and digitally with our fans for decades to come, not for those who want to make a quick buck.”

G2 Esports NFT Samurai characters will consist of five variables: Helmet, Weapon, Chest, Arm Part, and Background. Along with samurai characters, G2 Esports also announced a community reward system.

The Samurai Army is expected to reward participants with numerous rewards such as paid travel to major events, signed jerseys and gear, and access to special events. Samurai Army NFT owners will also get early access to future NFTs from G2 Esports.

In addition, participants will have the opportunity to communicate with professional players and coaches of different rosters under the G2 Esports tag, receive discounts in the company store, and participate in the drawing of clothes and peripherals.
