Dota 2 narrowly outperformed Counter-Strike 2, which awarded $22.67 million—a razor-thin margin of just $10,000. The third position went to Honor of Kings, which distributed $20.61 million in prize money across its tournaments.

Dota 2 has led esports prize earnings for the fourth consecutive year. The game’s most successful year remains 2021, when a staggering $47 million was awarded. The majority of that prize money came from The International 2021, which accounted for over $40 million of the total.
