Legendary Actor and Voice of Iconic Characters, Tony Todd, Passes Away at 69
Today, November 9, beloved film and voice actor Tony Todd has passed away at the age of 69. Over his long and successful career, Todd brought his voice to life in numerous video game roles.
The sad news was shared by his representatives, who confirmed that he passed away peacefully from natural causes.
Todd was best known for his roles in iconic films like Candyman, Final Destination, and The Man from Earth. Over the years, he starred in 240 films, cementing his place in cinematic history.
In addition to his film work, Tony Todd lent his voice to popular game characters, including Viper, Dragon Knight, and Night Stalker in Dota 2, the dragon Slyrak in the anime DOTA: Dragon's Blood, the Vortigaunts in Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Half-Life: Alyx, and Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Todd’s acting journey began in 1973, and one of his final roles was set to be in the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
