Noxville expressed concerns regarding the rules of the BetBoom DACHA tournament

Dota 2 analyst Ben "Noxville" Steinkhezen has expressed his criticism of the format used in the group stage of the BetBoom DACHA tournament. In his opinion, awarding three points for a victory in bo2 matches may have a negative impact on the final standings of the teams.

Despite the absence of such a rule in the official documents, BetBoom DACHA has implemented a points system where 3/1/0 points are awarded for a win, draw, and loss in bo2 matches, respectively. This decision has sparked dissatisfaction as it leads to significant inconsistency in the standings. Ben "Noxville" Steinhäuser expressed the opinion that such an approach is suboptimal and it is preferable to use a points system of 2/1/0, which provides a more accurate distribution of points among teams and reduces the need for additional matches to resolve tie situations.

The group stage of the BetBoom DACHA tournament will conclude on September 12th, with the two lowest-performing teams being eliminated. The decisive match in Group A will feature BetBoom Team and TSM, and the losing team will exit the competition.

BetBoom DACHA is taking place in Armenia from September 10th to September 16th, where eight teams are competing for a prize pool of $250,000. Just a few days after the conclusion of this tournament, DreamLeague Season 21 will commence.
