Ana considers DPC a useless event
Anathan 'ana' Pham recently joined T1 to play with them in the qualifiers for The International 2022 for teams from Southeast Asia.
In the roster, he plays with his teammate Topias 'Topson' Taavitsainen, with whom he won at The International 2018 and The International 2019.
In a recent interview, ana talked about how he is enjoying playing with Topson in the new band and how it was to return to the stage after leaving it, and also discussed several other interesting issues.
On the reasons for returning to the professional Dota 2 scene
Partly because the DPC is terrible and I wouldn't play anything other than TI and some third party tournaments for fun unless they changed it. What's the point of playing a useless DPC when you can just spend a little time on the qualifiers, if it works, then great, and if not, then it doesn't matter.
On reuniting with Topson
March (T1 head coach) was looking for a player, we talked and I also asked Topson and he happily agreed.
About the changed style of play in the new team
The style of play really depends on the ideas of the players/team, and I've been playing in Southeast Asia for a while now, so I don't feel much of a difference.
On what helped to achieve great heights in Dota 2
Probably, luck, skill, and being at the peak of your career at the right time contributed to this.
